It was only ten dollars and a bunch of mealworms.Neat shot Doug - a very unusual pose ad a great capture.
Did you have to pay the bluebird modeling agency extra for this pose?

Thanks, Ben.This is a great group
Thank you, Jim. There were so many bluebirds at this site there could be ten or more on one log. With that many it just gets confusing. I actually cloned out two others in this image that were slightly out of focus. Thanks for the Daily Featured Post. This is so awesome Doug! I have never seen bluebirds like that before.
Thanks, Tom. I appreciate that.Love this one Doug!
Great shot, Doug! I like how the background colors compliment those in the foreground. Very nice!Three Western Bluebirds on a log sticking out of a stock pond in Yavapai County, AZ

Thanks for your kind comment, Craig. We had a very dry winter so the only available water was in the biggest stock ponds. It was amazing to see all of the winter inhabitants of the desert flock there to get water.Congratulations Doug on the Stunning Image and Daily Featured Post !!! The fine feather details and colors
are really stunning. I've never seen that many together, had to be quite a thrill with all that you'd seen there.
Take Care,
Craig
Thank you so much, Dean.Cover of Blue Bird Magazine ! or the very least one of the featured shots for their calendar
Great Capture Doug.

The basics of the image are unchanged, Jim. I did clone out two slightly out of focus birds in the background and then blurred the background with Field Blur in photoshop to make the remaining birds pop.Great shot! Perfect focus on the birds, and a smooth background. Did you enhance that in post?
