I hiked parts of the Red Eagle Lake Trail on the east side of Glacier NP yesterday and got a close up look at what life on the forest floor looks like a dozen years after the Red Eagle Fire. I was curious to see the scene since we will be watching a similar sequence in the Columbia River Gorge in the years to come. All of the disturbed areas are home to scrub aspen and ground level shrubs and in this case a lot of the scrub aspen were showing some serious colors that their full sized brethren aren't even close to yet. I am not one to discriminate on size when it comes to shooting colorful scenes so this is the first installment of many from these woods.

    C&C always welcome.

Fire recovery is an interesting thing to observe. I recall the great Yellowstone fire the year we dropped my daughter off at Rexburg Idaho for college. That was over 30 years back. Now its hard to find. Or the recovery after Mt St Helens.

I too am fond of the smaller fall colors even the grasses. This is well seen. I also see a couple emerging conifers.

    Hi Alan,

I really like seeing the Rebirth of the Forest and the beautiful Aspen leaves. Looks like a Beaver stopped
    by as well.

    Very Nicely Done, Take Care,

    Craig
