Photographer takes a picture of a photographer taking a picture

Another one from LA , wandering around doing some street photography before the shoot and met up with a few other shooters. Shes using a Lumix GX850 which is a snazzy looking 4/3 camera, decent dynamic range for the sensor size, but not a lot of quality there to crop into and the shutter is pretty loud. Still a cool camera.

I like the idea of this Dave, though I don't like the negative space behind her. She is looking out of the frame at the edge of the frame. Everything else is awesome in this.

Now did you invite her to FocalWorld? We need more Street photographers!

I didn't, I don't think she likes to share photos with others..... I have a few others that I've met recently that I will probably ask!

I know its a big no-no to have the subject facing the wrong direction, but personally, I think lots of photography "Rules" are meant to be broken once in a while, especially when your just shooting from the hip out on the street :) Who knows the other way might have looked more pleasing, but this one makes me think a lot every time I look at it :) :)

Without a doubt rules are made to be broken. But when it adds to the image. The scene behind her is busy and distracting from the subject. I like the shot of her a lot, but if you didn't get the direction she was shooting cropping down to a portrait would have done her better justice. The B&W conversion is very well done also!

And this is also why photography is like art, everyone sees it different and no one is wrong.
