Hadrian's Wall again

I do like this light even if your hopes for a nuclear sunset panned out. I love the rustic old wall as a compositional element.

Along the western coast of the US we call that "mush" on the horizon the marine layer and I have watched many a sunset have it's colors snuffed out by it.

I would say that this is still really nice Ken! You got a hint of color and a lot of nice shapes in the clouds.

I always check out the horizon to the west when I am looking for sunset color, and yeah if there are clouds along the horizon like you had, it's going to block a sunset 99% of the time.

Most farmers would likely use this as a place to dump more rocks out of their fields. Its already unusable land for agriculture so why not leave your field rocks on the existing pile? One of the easiest ways to spot evidence of ancient cultivated lands is to look for the piles of rocks the early farmers were clearing from their fields.
