You will be able to create a simple Luminance Layer Mask. This will increase the dynamic range of your image.
It requires the following on your part in Photoshop:
1. A photo that has 2 layers.
- The top layer is for the Ground (Sky is too bright)
- The bottom layer is for the Sky (Sky is properly exposed)
2. Make sure the top layer is selected
3. Press Play on the Action
To Install this Action:
First download it to your computer, you can download it into the location listed below or you can copy it there after downloading.

If you don't have the Actions Panel open already -
Click on the Windows Menu, then click on Actions
In the Actions Panel in the upper right part of the panel you will see a down arrow next to 3 horizontal bars, click on that.
A pop up menu will appear, click on "Load Actions" part way down the list.
A Browser Window will open, just click on the Action set that you want to load.
How to use an Action:
Select the Action you want to use in the Action Panel by clicking on it. Then at the bottom of the Actions Panel, click on Play. That's it!
