    The CO River in BW

Floating down the middle of the Colorado recently and the sky had a few ideas of its own. I was happy to get these conditions while on the water. Ten minutes later we got pelted with large hail and strong winds. Didn't last long, as is typical here. Of course, I titled this one "Impending Hail".

The Bottom of the Grand Canyon

Thanks Oliver. There's no charging. No cell service. No internet. No electricity. For ten days. I brought 12 batteries. I had a few unused by the end of the trip. I did have a power bank to charge my iPhone for quick pics.

    Mavic 4 Pro Specs

100 'effective' MP camera, whatever that means. So, is the file size the same as my Fuji GFX 100MP medium format camera? Does '1/1.3" sensor size' mean that it is actually a 1" x 1.3" rectangle? They are going to pack 100 MP into that space? Good luck. 16 stops of DR is pretty hard to...

The Bottom of the Grand Canyon

I just returned from a ten day river rafting adventure on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. We navigated 226 miles of the river. I've seen places few humans will ever get near. Incredible experience. Photographs only try to convey the awe...

It Pays to Buy Good Quality Gear

Alan, I did have the R5 II for a very short time to use with my existing EF 200-400 f4 (w/1.4x). And yes, I did bail on it for the Sony A1 II and their 200-600mm. I still have the 200-400 if anyone is interested.

    Under the Wharf

Thanks Jim. When I got there I saw that it was not going to be like other similar images I've seen where the posts are in straight rows and you can see far down the center. It was a big mess of posts everywhere. So, framing and cropping was more challenging and I went with the 'confusion'...

    Mesquite Dawn

Fine imaging Kyle. The re-post looks just like the original. Oh, just so slightly different. Remove more magenta from the hills. If that get too strong from using a contrast adjustment layer of some type, try changing the 'kind' to Luminence (at the bottom of the list). That allows the...
