A Christmas Tree with tiny ornaments.

Our turning club asked members to turn some kind of tree for our Christmas meeting. I turned this one out of a piece of Mountain Ash that was in my shop for many years. I used a small LED light from a toy, cut the bulb off and re-soldered the light at the top with wires that run through the tree. There is a switch on the bottom to turn the light on and off. Each decoration is about 1/2" long and turned from a piece of dowel and coloured with markers.

Nice work with the intricate little ornaments - I can easily imagine a rather large pile of rejects if I were to try something like this. Cool decoration.

Wood turning clubs are groups of people (often lots of old bald guys like me!) who all like wood turning and making things out of wood on a wood lathe.
