A Non-Prenumbral Lunar Eclipse

On the night of the 4th of July I kept watching for the eclipse and granted it was supposed to be just a shadow that looked like a mouse had taken a bite out of the moon, but I never saw it. This was around midnight I think.

Nikon D850 in DX mode
Tamron 150-600mm with 1.4 extender @ 600mm

I took lots over a period of time and did not see any difference - the fireworks were better

Lunar eclipses are hard to shoot in any case, and a non total one just doesn't translate well to a photo in my experience at least. But in any case, a fun and detailed image of the moon!
