A Peek Back in Time

This is from the Tsankawi Trail Loop, it's a part of Bandelier National Monument, but it's located maybe 15 miles or so from it. It's right on the way up to Los Alamos, New Mexico about 45 mins Northwest of Santa Fe.

This is one of the rooms that's inside the cliff. It's a fun place to explore, and while the loop trail has 2 wooden ladders to go up or down, the hike is really easy.

In one area they had tons of petroglyphs, I will post those later.

One of the cool aspects I liked of this cave, is the opening reminded me of an Arrowhead.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

The entrance almost looks like the outline of a projectile point. Tricky exposure from inside unless you were using a phone.

Thanks Alan.

I was doing a Live Stream on my YouTube channel with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, so I had to use an actual camera. 🤣 This is the Nikon Z6III with the 24-200mm. I used a mask on the window areas to protect them. I exposed so that the background was about a stop too bright, so everything recovered nicely in ACR.

So I am holding my DJI Gimbal with my iphone on it for the video live stream on my left hand, while using my Nikon 1 handed with my right hand. A bit of a juggling act, but I pulled it off. :)

Interesting view point for this image.

I think you need to grow some more hands to handle your other 5 cameras :)

That's a fun place to go. Usually a good number of kids running around as it's so accessible. You handled the exposures well.

Thanks so much Monika. I have been fortunate that when I am there, there is often no one there, or just 2 or 3 other people spread out along the .5 mile loop trail. So it's nice and quiet, at least for me.
