abandoned transportation in iceland

SI-152 looks like it's in the best shape of the lot.

BA 64 is in fine shape for sailing through the dirt......

A couple of patches and a coat of wax and you could probably fly the plane home :D

SI-152 was dry docked, the dock was then abandoned. it might still be seaworthy after a bit of work.
BA 64 was scuttled on purpose after it was deemed no longer seaworthy.
and the plane crash was probably in better shape than the plane i flew home on.

Nice set, are these boats sunk into mud?
the first was dry docked on land. i was standing in a parking lot looking up at it. the second was scuttled during what must have been a particularly high tide. it's the oldest steel ship in iceland (formerly of norway).

I am especially loving the SI-152, I like the texturing of the background hills so much. It really creates for a unique shot.

It's interesting seeing both sides of the BA 64, the different angles almost make it look like 2 different ships.

And that plane! Congrats on making your way to the secret site of this plane. :)
