One neat feature with the C modes on the R5 that I do not think was in the 5DsR?
You can set it up so that the C mode settings can be changed and then remembered across power cycling, without having to register a second time. To Kyle's point above, I have C1 set up for fast action shooting, and I am able to be in C1 and just toggle the Eye AF to animal or people and then it will stay set that way across power cycling until I change it again.
For this feature to be enabled, see yellow Wrench Menu 5, select Custom Shooting Mode (C1-C3), then Auto Update Set., then Enable. Now changes to Custom mode settings will be non-volatile.
