AI servo in one shot mode??? R5

One neat feature with the C modes on the R5 that I do not think was in the 5DsR?

You can set it up so that the C mode settings can be changed and then remembered across power cycling, without having to register a second time. To Kyle's point above, I have C1 set up for fast action shooting, and I am able to be in C1 and just toggle the Eye AF to animal or people and then it will stay set that way across power cycling until I change it again.

For this feature to be enabled, see yellow Wrench Menu 5, select Custom Shooting Mode (C1-C3), then Auto Update Set., then Enable. Now changes to Custom mode settings will be non-volatile.

I just checked my and set the auto update to disable. I think that turns off the feature. I wish they used words like on/off, I know what that means, but disable could mean if I click it, it will be disabled, or if I click it it sets to disabled. Anyway, C1 no longer changes if I set continuous focus on and turn the camera on and back on.

My next test will be how to set up for landscape focus bracket. I read several tutorials and read the manual. The big guess is what increment to use. I read 10 for landscapes and a small number for macro. But the only time I want to use focus bracket is if I have flowers in the foreground, so I might need to go more toward macro settings.
