Ashley's Quinceañera

These pictures were all taken with a Sigma 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens, and it was funny... as I was at the park taking them, another photographer friend saw me using that lens, and my trusty Nikon D7000... and he commented that I was using the "plastic" set up... of course, he was using his Canon 5D mark 2, and his 24-70 f/2.8 lens, and his big Einstein off camera light with a huge softbox! so, I asked him to let me see his images... as I was letting him see mine in the camera's screen... HE WOULD NOT!! He said he still had to adjust them in LR, and that he had to leave...
Well.. these are my images! taken with the "plastic set up!" :) :) :)
I used a Metz 45CT-4 for the ones with flash. Ashley is a real nice girl, she is deaf, but can read lips in both Spanish and English! and is now studying at the university of Arizona in a softball scholarship.

Very nice work here on these Frank. The first two are my favorites.

It's funny the amount of pride some people place in their gear as opposed to their own photographic skill. Hopefully are skill as photographers can transcend the gear we use. That's not to say gear is not important, it is definitely a part of what we do.
