Picking out some images from each trip I took this year was easy. Whittling that list down to 10 images wasn't
I took a trip down to the Mojave Desert area in March that included the Alabama Hills. The Hills turned out to be my favorite part of the trip.
#1. Moonlit granite:
#2. With a nice sunrise in the morning:
I took another trip over to eastern Washington and Oregon that included the Palouse area and hit up Oregon's Painted Hills on the return drive.
#3. Covered Bridge along Clear Creek:
#4. Some morning light at the Painted Hills:
Fall trips were for various locations but a drive up the Columbia River Gorge proved the most productive.
#5. A small viewpoint along WA 14 called Cape Horn:
Two of my favorite waterfalls - Horsetail Falls and Wahkeena. I hadn't been able to access these falls since the Eagle Creek Fire since the Historic Highway was shut down until about 2 weeks before I shot these:
#6. Horsetail Falls:
#7. Wahkeena Falls:
Finally some coastal trips scored the remainder of my top 10. All three of these images are from the area around Brookings, Oregon.
#8. Marine Rock Garden at Harris Beach:
#9. The Redwoods Nature Trail near the Chetco River:
#10. And a nice sunrise at Harris Beach State Park the day I was leaving:
