Picking out some images from each trip I took this year was easy. Whittling that list down to 10 images wasn't

I took a trip down to the Mojave Desert area in March that included the Alabama Hills. The Hills turned out to be my favorite part of the trip.

#1. Moonlit granite:

#2. With a nice sunrise in the morning:

I took another trip over to eastern Washington and Oregon that included the Palouse area and hit up Oregon's Painted Hills on the return drive.

#3. Covered Bridge along Clear Creek:

#4. Some morning light at the Painted Hills:

Fall trips were for various locations but a drive up the Columbia River Gorge proved the most productive.

#5. A small viewpoint along WA 14 called Cape Horn:

Two of my favorite waterfalls - Horsetail Falls and Wahkeena. I hadn't been able to access these falls since the Eagle Creek Fire since the Historic Highway was shut down until about 2 weeks before I shot these:

#6. Horsetail Falls:

#7. Wahkeena Falls:

Finally some coastal trips scored the remainder of my top 10. All three of these images are from the area around Brookings, Oregon.

#8. Marine Rock Garden at Harris Beach:

#9. The Redwoods Nature Trail near the Chetco River:

#10. And a nice sunrise at Harris Beach State Park the day I was leaving:

Alan, these are really awesome shots. You got some real winners last year.

My Favorites are #2, and then #6 to 10... :D

Nice set Alan, the last one is an outstanding example of your love of the OR coast. My favorites though are the waterfalls, another speciality of yours.

it would be really hard to pick a favorite. i love the s curve and night sky in the first. and the layers of mountains and red light hitting the second range in photo #2. #5 is also really nice because of the stormy weather adding a lot of drama to the scene. I also really like #8 and #10 and these two are the type of scene that i think of when i think of your work.
