EXIF Data

I'm very new and could be missing something but I can't find how to display or see other's exif data. I've noted that when viewing "Random Media" there's an Information tab where it's visible, but in the "Photo Posting Forums" I see nothing displayed and no where to select to either view or post exif data.

Am I missing something? Thanks... Mike

The images that show up in the "Random Media" are shots from Galleries which are uploaded, stored, and viewed differently from the attached files in threads. The site software for handling gallery viewing is what allows direct access to the EXIF data. If you have a standalone EXIF viewer you can use that for the attached file images.

You can load images into a gallery and then link them to a thread if you wish and they will be included in the Random Media stream.

Hey Mike, yeah I wish it was consistent and would display the exif in the forums like it does in the media gallery.

It is on my list of forum improvements so thanks for bringing it up.

As Alan mentioned there are standalone programs that you can download that will show you the exif when you mouse over any image in a web browser. I have one I downloaded a couple of years ago, I will have to look when I get home from Yosemite and see what the name of it is because it works pretty good.

Thanks, I thought maybe there was a check box I was missing (something like what is on FM). I'll search out the mouse over programs. I look at images for enjoyment but get a lot of education from the exif data... Mike
