iPhone 14 pro max portrait

Hi everyone… I haven’t posted on this forum in quite a while but I hope to return soon. I have been using my iPhone 14 pro max a lot lately and I recently acquired the BeastCage from Beastgrip along with their 1.7x telephoto lens. The lens gives me about 40mm equivalent on 35mm format. I took this portrait this morning using the iPhone setup and a Neewer 8x10” LED light panel for the lighting. Lightroom mobile was used to edit the ProRaw 48mp file. I’ll do my best to return to this forum more often.

which is your favorite?

B&W is a natural for this image, pretty good for an I-phone, in fact just pretty darn good period.

Hey Todd!

A smile popped on my face just now as I saw your name with a new thread! You are missed!

This looks super cool. I need to check out the Beastcage.

B&W all the way for me. As is often with B&W it allows the eye to see the patterns and shapes in an image where color ends up being a distraction. At least that's the way my eyes work.

Upgrading to the iPhone 14 Pro is on my list, but the 1TB versions had been hard to find. Not sure now if I should just wait for the 15 Pro at this point.

Great capture with the new IPhone! I like the first one the best. Something about b&w that makes it stand out to me.

Hi Jim… thanks for the compliments. I like both, but the B&W is a favorite. I have the 1TB iPhone, got it through AT&T on a monthly installment. If you order one through your carrier, they can have it sent to you faster than locating one in a store. I’m sure the iPhone 15 pro will be great, I’ll be getting one.

I think B&W is expected for this type of portrait, however I am drawn to the color image. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and its become my go to camera when I am our on motorcycle adventures.
