Long-eared Owl

There is a family of Long-eared Owls a few blocks from my house. Some friends own the yard where they spend some time. There are four young and the two adults. Today I was watching one of the adults and three or four Robins were dive bombing it to try and send it away. Here are some images of the family and the drama.

One of the adults.

that's some luck having owls nesting nearby. great photos, esp. the one with the ears up and looking at you. the last photo of the owl in flight is also really well done.
