Possibly my favorite image of Minneapolis was just purchased by an author for the cover of his next mystery novel. Can't wait to get a copy! I have this printed in color in my home but I always liked it in black and white. Part of the reason that this is my favorite image of the city is that this view is the unique vantage point for this shot. It was taken from the interstate bridge over the Mississippi River. It was cold, the wind was blowing and cars were making the bridge vibrate. Still, I had to brace my tripod against the railing of the bridge and time my 1/5 second shot during a wind and traffic lull. Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good. I have yet to see a similar view of the city, day or night.
