Night Storm

I'm out chasing monsoons around southern Arizona. Sometimes the action continues into the night. You don't see much in the dark until BOOM!!

I have found capturing Lighting at night to be a bit tricky because of the exposure difference between the lightning and the dark of the night.

Thanks Jim. You have to get the settings just right. After the first few strikes you need to playback to evaluate the exposure and make adjustments. Manual mode, and a sturdy tripod. It's often windy and raining lightly during these moments, but the conditions change fast.
