Apparently I am returning to my roots now and found this on Ebay and bought it.

I wanted an F5 when they came out in 1996 but I was poor then and couldn't afford one. Now I can and went for the 50th Anniversary Edition that is claimed to be Mint, in the box. Hoping for the best possible outcome. LOL

Anyone on the forum have any experience with the F5, and if so any advice?

Wow! Congrats!

Like you, I couldn't afford one when they came out. I would expect it to be pretty easy to use? The F5 was advanced for its time, but I don't think it has anywhere near the options we have today.

No, no where near what is available to us today. But for a film camera when it was introduced, it was considered by some to be the best 35mm camera in the world. I can't wait to fire off the shutter! LOL
Its role will be mostly B&W film, but we'll see how this journey progresses. ;)
