Although the areas we have already covered are spectacular, there are still other areas of beauty within this region.
Robbers Roost can be accessed from 89A at mile post 364.5 on road FR 525, also known as Red Canyon road. About 2.8 miles from the intersection FR 525 forks and you should take the FR 525C fork on the left. Follow that road to Fr 9530 and make a right. Then drive a short distance to the top of the hill and the parking area. Then walk approximately 1.1 miles down the road and pathway to Robbers Roost. You can save a mile of hiking if you have a high clearance 4WD vehicle.

Snoopy Rock is an iconic location that can be photographed from several places in downtown Sedona. Best places to photograph him are Pink Jeep Plaza just as you come into town, the deck at Wildflower Café in the Hilton Plaza, or the deck at Starbucks in the Hilton Plaza. You can see him here in the lower portion of the image lying on his back. Look carefully and you can see his feet, his body, and his nose with Woodstock perched atop it.

Angel Falls
When you get to the top of the Brin's Mesa trail you turn right and take the small path to the very top of the Mesa. Having said that the falls run very rarely and for only a few hours after a snowfall on top of Wilson mountain.

Doe Mountain, seen here from the air, is a nice hike to the top and has great clumps of Claret Cup Cactus and Hedgehog Cactus that bloom in April. It can be accessed from Boynton Canyon Road by taking Dry Creek Road from 89A. Make a left at the first turn at the end of Dry Creek Road and then make another left at the next major turn which will be Boynton Canyon Road (you can see it to the left of Doe Mountain in the image here) . The view from the top is spectacular.

Dry Creek Road is a good place to find winter images. Find any pullout and shoot to the north at the Mogollon Rim with snow covered Junipers and Pinyon Pines in the foreground. I also want the thank Jim Fox for suggesting this project and helping me along the way with excellent suggestions on formatting the project.
