Spring at Sheep Lake

I was a the Sheep Lake overlook at Rocky Mountain Park last spring and grabbed this shot. It is a place I stop on almost every trip the RMNP.

Nice view up the mountain valley in the distance. How thick is the ice on this pond down in front?

That pond is very shallow and the ice is probably less than an inch deep. That pond dries up during the fall each year.
