Steens Mt. Drone Views

I was up on Steens Mt. back at the end of September for the first snow of the season. We still managed to drive almost to the top in our truck camper. I flew my Mavic 2 Pro down and out from the mountain to look back at the sunrise hitting the east face.

I'm on the rim on the far right (not visible at this distance).

Beautiful view from up there. A very different feel to these captures compared to your shots from the rim.

That's sure cool Jim! It's interesting to think that you were up on that ridge. #1 is my favorite. Did you get a closeup of those smaller spines poking out of the side on #2? Those look super cool with their shadows.
