Steptoe Butte Closed - Palouse

I know the Palouse photography traffic will be starting soon. Be aware that the road into and up Steptoe Butte is closed for maintenance. The road has been closed early due to washout from a bad rain storm in early March. According to the WA state park website the road should be open by the end of September.

But speaking of September, don't they plant a fall crop as well? If so, when is the best time to capture that?

Thats a bummer as I am heading there tomorrow. Will have to do more with the drone than on the ground. Hope to also meet up with Aaron while I am there.

Yes, I saw that a couple weeks ago too. Quire disappointing, as we have not been to this area before. We are planning to be in the area June 8th for about a week. Glad I have my new DJI Air 3S to break in. I would imagine the photo workshops are scrambling a bit.

With your drone you will not miss the steptoe location. The drone opens up a lot more options.
