Morant's curve in the Bow valley area of Banff is a popular spot for photographers. Many wait for a train to come along as a foreground for the expanse beyond. The image below is actually looking away from the popular composition.

I'd certainly shoot that - and the other direction as well if there were an oncoming train. Very picturesque scenery in both directions.

Thanks Alan. The clouds and the light made me turn the camera around. Shot in the other direction as well, no train on that occasion though.

Thanks Jim. In this view the train would be leaving the scene. In the other direction one can catch it with the leading locomotive.
