The Ghosts of Nevada

Rhyolite is a ghost town near Beatty, Nevada that most people drive by on their way to Death Valley National Park. You can see a few buildings in ruin as well as an open-air museum.

"A group of prominent Belgian artists, led by the late Albert Szukalski, created a self-described art situation consisting of seven outdoor sculptures that are colossal not only in their scale but in their placement within the vast upper Mojave desert." ... GoldwellMuseum.org

Interesting additions to Rhyolite - I like how they turned out in IR. That place had some oddities that can be fun to shoot even before the artists added the sculptures. I stopped in there on a trip with some other photographers while we were shooting DV and staying in Beatty back in 2012.

How interesting Michael. It's been a while since I have been to Rhyolite, I don't recall the statues. That's cool how someone added the bicycle to #1.

#1, 3 and 5 are my favorites.
