Alan, excellent images with a wide variety of “layers” depicted. I really like the John Day Fossil Bed, the sunrise over Suislaw River, and the Lower Antelope Canyon images. The Mt. Hood drone image is especially nice as well.

Don't have many layer shots, but living in the Bay Area gives me access to cool fog layers sometimes.

1. July 4th 2021. Way better than fireworks! 15 second exposure.

2. August of 2021 I believe? 50 Second exposure.

3. Rolling hills near my house in Livermore. Old file that needs a touchup.

Josh, your first two fog images are very, very nice—love them. The images work really well for this “layer” task—absolutely beautiful. The rolling green hills in your last image also works well.

Here are a few:

1) Dead sea and Jordan from Masada

2) Mammoth hot springs

3) Zabriskie Point

Kyle, I like the more limited hues and less contrast in your Jordan image—very nice and my favorite. Mammoth Hot Spring is a great choice for this Task. The white steam from the many layered rocks below creates a greater contrast than the Jordan image. The Zabriskie Point’s warm and cool colors also creates a memorable image.

Wow Josh!!!!

Those fog layers in #1 and 2 are so amazing! I have got to capture that myself. Your images are just so awesome!

Is there a time of the year better then others for that fog? How often does that occur?

Doug, beautiful images you’ve shared. I especially love the Tatoosh Range, Coal Mine Canyon, Grand Canyon images. Of course I’m always happy to see any images of Bryce Canyon. The San Andreas folds image is very interesting and a unique Task inclusion.

Dan, incredible "layer" images you've shared––I love the B&W images, each layer is more defined by its tonal value. Very nice! Your Turtle Back Dome View is perhaps my favorite for its perfect simplicity. Very, very nice!
