Thursday’s Task: I am thankful for my fellow photographers who share their inspiring images on Focal World, and from whom I continue to learn and perfect my craft.

Please post images as you like. I hope every member has a wonderful holiday. I’ll comment on members’ posts post-Thanksgiving. My examples from a recent trip below:

I didn't do a lot of traveling to exotic places this past year but I did get some nice images anyway.

A moment of nice light on a Pacific Chorus frog on one of my blueberry bushes:

Up until this year I had never encountered a pileated woodpecker in the 26 years I have lived in the Pacific NW. I almost couldn't believe my luck when I did finally see one and had my camera in hand while walking in Rooster Rock State Park near the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge.

A lovey idea John. Accompanied by your usual creative splash screen and beautiful pictures.
I have many things to be thankful for. Here are a few representative images.

I live in a place with many months of winter and have so much joy in all the changes of seasons.
An iconic hotel in Saskatoon called the Bessborough seen through a chain link fence.

Spring brings new life and colour. A fern frond unfurling. (Say that fast 5 times!)

Our licence plate in Saskatchewan says 'Land of Living Skies". The joke is you can see your dog run away for three days it is so flat.

I am thankful for each of you for inspiring me with your photographs and encouraging me, along with other friends and family, keep going with this endeavor. I thank the friends that have driven me to travel to some exotic places that I thought I'd never see and am thankful that I have been blessed with the resources to do so. In that mind, here are some places I am truly thankful to have been able to visit.

1) Lofoten Islands in Norway

Alan, you‘ve shared beautiful images from less distant regions—very nice indeed! I love the Siuslaw trail side and the Sweet Creek trail images—beautiful! Of course the Pileated Woodpecker image is special—and thank you for sharing all of them! And not to leave out our amphibian friends—cute frog photo in your first image.

Trent, a nice variety of gorgeous images you’ve shared—thank you! I love your first image of the “framed” image of the hotel—well done! I also love the fern frond unfurling (maybe I tried repeating that several times), also a beautiful capture too. The poppy image is another favorite as well. Love the sky image and the tiny riders below for scale—nice!

Thank you for your remarkable images across our globe—each a sight to see, and to see again and again. Thank you for sharing each of them. My personal favorites are the Iceland and New Zealand captures but all are wonderful.
