My waterfall for today is the Lower South Falls at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. This is a 2 shot panorama taken from the trail that loops through most of the falls within the park a few years back.
That shooting mode does a very reasonable job with the water flow of these falls. I am going to have to play with this. I am almost surprised by the amount of green in this scene given all of the fall colors you have shot in that area recently. Nice falls BTW.What I am posting today is from Superior Falls, I mislabeled last weeks entry as Superior Falls but it was Potato River Falls.
This waterfall begins in Wisconsin but falls in Michigan, or so it seems as it's located in the very very very corner of Michigan.
Captured with the iPhone 15 Pro Max in the HEIC mode so I could flip it from Live mode to Long Exposure mode for this image.
Beautiful falls - I especially like the first one in Glacier NP with the technicolor rocks piled down at the bottom. Holland Falls has a split that reminds me a bit of Proxy Falls in Oregon. Both images look like venues worth future visits. Here are a couple that I shot this week...
1) Baring Falls in Glacier. I'd never made the short hike to this one. Low autumn flows make it possible to include the rocks in the foreground.
2) Holland Falls are reached by a relatively easy 3.5 mile roundtrip hike at Holland Lake, about 90 minutes southeast of Kalispell. Beautiful area and I'll be back.
I like a low flow rate like this as it brings out more details in the cascades. Nice scene with the dark clouds as a backdrop. I could spend far too much time with a scene like this and a long lensThe first of many from Skye. This is Fairy Pools on an afternoon with a wet forecast that thankfully failed to materialise. The flow was lower than I expected but still sufficient. Just like Kyle's this is an easy 3.5 mile hike. Ken

Jaw dropping light for this scene Doug. I love the color of the water and how you framed the shot with the mountain behind. Here is another waterfall from my Canada trip. This is Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park. The mountain in the background is Mount Kerkeslin.
Nice series as usual, Kyle. Your image of Baring Falls is stunning. I love the colors of the rocks. Here are a couple that I shot this week...

the old patterns seem to have disappeared. What I got from locals was that summer drought has normal color patterns in disarray. So in short, no I don't know better. Thanks Alan!
...but I am still learning the in's and outs of fall color in the Upper Midwest, so maybe I was not remembering correctly. Maybe @TimMc knows better.
Nicely done. I loved visiting Athabasca falls and you did a good job with the composition. It is hard to find space to shoot there and I like the leading curve you managed. Here is another waterfall from my Canada trip. This is Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park.
