Waterfall Wednesday 2/4/2026

Wednesday and Waterfalls - if you have images of falling water this is the place to show them off.

My offering for today is a small scene of the upper portion of Kentucky Falls as seen from the top of the switchbacks that drop down to the bottom of the falls. This portion of the falls are not really visible from down at the bottom given the steepness of the basalt cliff the water is going over.

One of my favorite waterfalls in the Cascades near Eugene - I love the greens of the moss in this scene.

Something a little different this week. This is an image from 2012 taken with a 7D I had back then. This is a flow past a waterfall in the gorge. Our resident gorge experts would probably id it.

Not a shot I have taken myself but it reminds me of the flows up on the Oneonta trails. Nice little falls.

Looks like a really nice flow over these falls Ken. I like the dusting of snow on the distant hilltops. Can you send some of that stormy weather in our direction?

This is one of the smaller falls along the trail to Wentworth Falls in Blue Mountains National Park in Australia. You can see the staircase as part of the trail in the upper left corner of the image.

Must be a pretty popular trail to get stairs included for good access. Neat cascades along the way to the main event Wentworth Falls you mentioned.
