My falls for today are from the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge near Crown Point on the Oregon side of the river and my maps show the name Palisades Falls. I don't think they flow year round although I might be wrong. They aren't readily visible to visit as the Historic Highway loops around the Vista House at the top of Crown Point almost 800' above the I-80 freeway. In this case I launched my drone from the Rooster Rock recreation area just below Crown Point to get this view. This is a single frame shot with the 244mm lens on my Mavic 3 and cropped to cut out the freeway that was visible at the bottom. The small lake at the bottom is called Reflection Lake although it wasn't reflecting much when I shot this last week. The Union Pacific tracks are visible just behind the lake. Click through for a wider view of the scene.

Nice start Alan that is a little noticed falls, thanks for showing it to us
Thanks Ben - there are a number of waterfalls in the Gorge that only flow during the winter and spring months and they aren't always readily visible beyond a passing glance at 65mph on the interstate. I have been scouting them from the Washington side of the river and then checking out maps to see where I can get the best viewpoint. Most days have too much haze to get good views from the Washington side with a telephoto lens.

Here is another waterfall iage ifound while searching my archives. This is an early shot of one of my standard American Fork river shots. Back then I was shooting ultra wide. I am since shooting tighter but I thought this worth showing
I like this wide view with the snow coating in the surrounding forest. Late fall?

I am also digging deep into my archives, not far back in time (2021) but in quality. I need to go out and capture some more images and will if it stops raining today. This is another of the small becks that bounces down the fells in Deepdale. Ken
Very picturesque little sets of cascades in this scene. Glad you are digging around for gems like this one. The upside to all of the rain is that there will be even more waterfalls to explore and shoot :)
