Last week I showed an ephemeral set of waterfalls near the mouth of a railroad tunnel at Cape Horn in the Columbia River Gorge. This is the waterfall I launched my drone - Cape Horn Falls. The waterfall on the left in this scene dries up by late summer. I have shot Cape Horn Falls with a telephoto lens from a viewpoint at the Bridal Falls area on the Oregon side of the river but they aren't visible from the Washington side unless you are on the water (or in the air). The railroad tracks on the right near the bottom of the cliffs can give a sense of scale.

Pile on with your own falling water shots.

Thanks for starting this Alan and I love those Cape Horn Falls. Kyle, Victory Falls is epic.

I am going with a waterfall from Glacier I believe this is St Mary's Falls.
Nice work with some difficult light Ben - I love the falls in Glacier N.P.

This is the stream above Grey Mare's Tail waterfall. Too little water really but it allows the texture in the water to be seen. I hope to return in August or September when the heather is in bloom and hopefully the stream has more water. Ken
I really like the low water flow with the delicate cascades. Especially in the second image.

This is a section of Gorge Falls near Newhalem in Notth Cascades. The entire fall is almost 240ft and pretty narrow. It is a challenge to shoot them even though the access is simple. It is on a metal grates bridge and every time a vehicle passes over it vibrates for several seconds. And the traffic during the day is pretty steady. So an exercise in patience.

Hey Alan, have you been to Tunnel Falls? It looks like it's up Eagle Creek past Punchbowl I think in Columbia River Gorge. I just saw an article and a short video on it. It looked really cool.

I have not been up there. I typically stay away from Eagle Creek since it is far and away the worst place in the Gorge for car break-ins. The parking area is quick access from the freeway but just sheltered enough to be out of sight from I-84 as well as the trails. The parking lot is covered with broken car window glass.

Looks like your patience paid off - this is a nice take on those falls.
