Wolverine and Draco

Practicing with the Nikon d7200 in different conditions. Went over to my uncles house and caught his pets actually being still enough to get some clear pictures. The lighting was low and I tried 1/8 f2.8 1600 by hand. Then used acr to denoise and adjusted some colors. These came out pretty decent I thought.

@AlanLichty Jim mentioned using acr to denoise. Game changer. I would have thought all these images were unusable.
ACR denoise has the calling card that you already have it if you are using Photoshop. It's far from the best out there with both DxO PureRAW and Topaz Photo AI both leaving it in the dust. Neither of those applications are free however but both work in conjunction with Adobe Lightroom and PS ACR. Don't overlook the sharpening tools in ACR as well.

Great info and will eventually check it all out. I did use the sharpness a little on the eyes of the cat. and some of the fur on the dog.

Great job Ben!

1/8th hand held? That's a steady hand! Even with VR, you need a steady hand at that shutter speed.

I am on the road, so I can only use my iPhone, but I would say the eyes are sharp in all of them, that's the trophy there.
