Yosemite on a Kitchen Pass

Wifes friend asked if I would go to Yosemite with her husband who had a heart attack in Jan.
Imagine that, a kitchen pass that didn't cost me anything!
The falls were roaring & there plenty of opportunies

The Dogwoods were out but many looked like the freezes had taken there toll.

Awesome Dan! Those free passes are always sweet! :)

What a great view. When was this? The Dogwoods still looked pretty good. I was thinking on trying to go up there next week.

Nice shots, Dan. I can't wait to see the waterfalls for myself, but Tioga Pass is still closed. It might be a while before Tioga Road is fully cleared of snow. Caltrans crews just got through a section of Tioga Road that was buried under 30 feet of snow...

The aren't as prolific as last year, but there are clusters along the road. I tried to get in the Awanhee grounds but couldn't park

Always nice to get a freebie. Don't you get free admission as a senior in the first place? I like all of the waterfalls and especially the meadow reflections.

Does a Yosemite visit require reservations these days?

Well, yes, I have the "senior" card. But the kitchen pass from my wife is a bit more expensive 🤔
I'm pretty sure the reservations are NO longer required. I always go up w/o a reservation now.
