People, in general, are fearful of what they don't understand. That's why there's religion. Drone hating has been popularized by the internet and the media, so it still is the current trend. State parks tend to be smaller than national parks so perhaps you could launch outside the boundaries...

Thank you Peter. For me there's plenty of life here in the form of desert scrub and native vegetation. A bit sparse compared to wetlands, but it's there.

Whether you used a 'profile' or not, you still need to color correct this. Like Jim said.

I do seem to spend a lot of time in the area of Hanksville, Utah. Always fascinating. Here is an arial view of Factory Butte and it's surrounding badlands in very early light with the shadow of the earth on the atmosphere.
