    I disassembled and removed the hot mirror from the camera. I got lucky that the camera still holds focus without the hot mirror!

    It has been very dry here (Northeast Ohio) lately and the 'wetland' is not as wet as normal. Still, it's a cool little place. Lots of critters and the butterfly's like to hang out. Most people in the area don't even know it exits; they just drive right on by....

    I've always wanted to mess around with a pinhole cap for one of my cameras. I've read that the biggest issue is getting a perfectly drilled hole that is clean and free of any burrs.

    Yeah, I like tearing objects apart and seeing if I can rebuild them! Actually though, it's not terribly difficult taking a camera apart for IR conversion. The issue I was running into was the hot filter. Once it is removed many camera will not focus properly without it. My little Canon...
