My starter falls for today are Multnomah Falls as seen from the Washington side of the Columbia River. Its hard to judge the height of the falls from directly underneath them at the designated viewpoints on the Oregon side of the river but at a distance the height of the upper part of the falls is quite apparent.

River Affric Highland Scotland. Very similar images from the same small stretch of the river. I must return some time when the light is better. Ken
Gorgeous fall colors with some really nice falls. I particularly like the second image for the view and the colors.

I finally found another waterfall in my archives. It is nice to finally participate rather than just comment. This is a slightly different view of Havasu Falls than the ones typically taken from below.
Beautiful point of view for these falls - one of the better images from that area I have seen.

I need to look closer I guess, but that’s the upper Multnomah falls? I would have guessed it to be the lower, but then the lower isn’t that tall is it? It just seems like the trees in front of it are not tall enough to hide the lower part.

Wow Doug! What a great image, it’s a great reminder as to why I need to get back there again!

You captured this from the trail I think?

When you are at the visitors canter for Multnomah its hard to judge the height of the upper falls since you don't have much perspective when you are that close. The footbridge that you typically see in photos of these falls is only barely visible through the trees is the dividing point between the upper and lower falls. The lower falls are actually quite small compared to the upper falls.
