The Sun Found Time to Play

This is the Devils Tower from just outside the National Monument. There is a pullout where people can stop and look. It takes a longer lens to pull it in, but I thought it looked cool. The sun was playing with the tower and would light it up and then let it go back into shadow. The lighting up never lasted too long.

Nice light for this image. I liked the clouds as well.

Patchy light can be a lot of fun to shoot with and having an iconic feature like this makes it even better.

Thanks Alan, it was fun. I didn't stay too long there as being in the park is where I wanted to be. But it's a fun pullout to stop for 5 mins.

I don't need much of an excuse to pull over when I see interesting light or subjects.

Really nice light on Devils Tower. I think you could crop just a little of the sky.
