Alan, perfect compositions and varied locations of majestic sunrises! Thank you for sharing. Perhaps my favorite is the Monument Valley sunrise—love this composition! The very colorful Death Valley and Harris Beach images are favorites too! Another favorite is the Siuslaw River—like the contrast of warm and cool colors and its composition. Nice!

Thanks John - the Monument Valley composition was pure luck as this was the view from my balcony at The View hotel.

Here are 3 from my archive:

Sunrise just west of Denver

Sunrise Arches National Park

Sunrise Dead Horse Point, Utah
Larry, three beautiful sunrise captures! I especially love Balanced Rock in Arches—quite a sight and great photo! The Denver sunrise is another memorable image too. Perhaps my favorite is the Dead Horse Point sunrise—love the partially lighted rocks in the background—nice! Thank you for sharing Larry!

I was hoping you would contribute a few of your beautiful images Ken—thank you! I absolutely love the Ullswater and the Tewet Tarn images—love the wider compositions and subtle colors. Very nice and my favorites! The Bamburgh Castle also has an interesting composition with the “weight” on one side but balanced by the wide expanse of “empty” space. Nice. Again thank you for sharing.

I've got a few classic sunrises in the bag, but since I'm in North Dakota this week photographing old structures, I'll contribute two from this trip that I'm still on. This is the area around Bottineau, ND. (that is not lens distortion. It's a real leaner!).

Jeffrey, remarkable sunrises with very interesting subjects—I love seeing/photographing old “structures” too. I especially love the composition capturing the sunrise through the window in your second beautiful image! Nice! And your first image of the leaning old house was perhaps captured “just in time!” Love the sky! Another memorable image and my favorite. Thank you for sharing!
