A scene a couple hundred feet from where Sweet Creek joins the Siuslaw River from a couple of weeks ago. Single frame cropped to 16:9.
C&C always welcome.
C&C always welcome.
Thanks Jim - the original homesteader in this little valley was Thomas Sweet who gave the creek his family name. His descendants still own property upstream near where the waterfalls start. I have been in this part of the valley when fall leaves offer up some nice reflections so I always slow down to look around when crossing the bridge I shot this from. Now this is why Sweet Creek got it's name as this is really sweet!
Thanks Trent - I will get right on getting this flipped back overI think you accidentally submitted your image upside down Alan... That REFLECTION!!.
Thanks Jameel - the trick is to show up during high tide so the water fills the creek bed. The water surface in this area is at sea level.Sweet indeed. Fantastic reflections.
Thanks Doug!Very nice, Alan.
Thanks Kurt - I was most interested in this band of colors/reflections so extra evergreens and empty gray sky were expendable and 16:9 was a better choice for an aspect ratio.Nice little scene. Good choice for the aspect ratio on this one.
Thanks - this type of scene is why I love coming back every year.Beautiful autumn colors and a very nice reflection of the trees in the water... it gives me a feeling of purity and peace.
