Jameel, yes I certainly see this week’s Task is one of your favorite subjects—beautiful examples you have provided. I love them all and three of them with reflections! Perhaps Reflection Lakes and Vermillion Lakes are my favorites—thanks for sharing each of your image!Mountains, you say? One of my favorite subjects.

Alan, great mountain landscapes you’ve shared! I especiallly favor the Mt. Hood, Bisti, and Smith Rock images. The Mt. Hood composition is well conceived with the stark contrast of the foreground and background. Very nice! I like the panoramic composition of Smith Rock too. Nice as well. The Patriarchs is another panoramic composition that benefits from its inclusive width. Thanks for sharing all these images Alan.Like Jameel I love mountains so a good topic for me too. Neat examples so far.

Mike, one word—Wow! I love them all. The first image from the balcony (with a heck of a view) is perhaps my favorite. Love the colors, light, reflection and composition! The Norway fjord is another gorgeous image with gorgeous colors. Very nice too. Both of the Alaska “mountainscapes” are equally beautiful in all respects. Again, very nice. The Longs Peak is another interesting composition. I like the color contrast between the foreground and the rising mountains beyond. Of course the rainbow featured in the Independence Pass image creates a beautiful—and memorable landscape. Thanks for sharing. Some wonderful submissions so far. I must say, scenic mountain shots are one of my favorite things to shoot, so hard to limit to a reasonable number of shots. Taking a cue from above then, here are some of my favs over the years:
1) From the balcony of the Many Glacier Hotel:

Larry, thank you for sharing each of these beautiful landscapes from Colorado. I like the Road to Gothic image—the very wide angle perspective renders an interesting look to the clouds and mountains. I think the dirt road keeps the natural look to the image. I like both of the Rocky Mountain NP images too—especially the second Sheep Lake landscape. I love the colors of the foreground field against mountainous background and the gorgeous sky. Very nice. The Telluride is another favorite composition with the many layers leading to the cloudy mountains beyond. Wow! The North of Crested Butte landscape is another great composition with the winding water leading to the beautiful blue mountains. Very nice. I love the Great Sand Dunes image—another nice capture!I live in a mountain state and could post images all week, however here are a few of my favorites:
