Things are Looking Up!

I finally visited Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada a few weeks ago. I have been wanting to go there for maybe 20 years. Which is a crazy long time, but I am trying to finally take the time to stop at some of these places that I most often zip by as I am in a hurry to get somewhere else. Cathedral Gorge is located 1.5 hours west of Cedar City Utah, and about 2.5 hours north of Las Vegas. It's a bit out in the middle of no where, but it's a pretty cool area.

I did a Travel Video exploring it, I just finished processing it, but need to get it uploaded to YouTube still. It's 1.5 hours long of 4k video as I drive into the park, and explore the famous Moon Slots and other slots they have their. I will need to make a shorter version as well, and maybe even a relaxing video without my talking and just some background music. It was really fun.

So there are lot's of Slot canyons at Cathedral Gorge. Lot's of them! And it's cool, they all start just a 100 feet or so from various pullouts along the main road in the park. So you can just go and walk from one slot to the next, to the next for most of them.

I ended up spending a lot of time looking up while in the slots, so here are some photos from looking up. I probably have a couple dozen of these, and I picking out my favorites. I will split them up into 2 threads, and post them in no particular order.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Very interesting looking place and one I have never visited. Fun looking slots to play around with although a bit challenging on the exposure side with the dark canyon bottoms vs. the skies above. Hopefully you have shots looking around the bottom of the canyon as well?

Thanks Alan. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally visit it.

And yes, I have photos of every angle. :) Please watch the video as well, it won't be ready on YouTube for a few more days.
