Thursday’s Task: Scenic Spin. Your interpretation.
This week: Mountains
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN
Great Tetons National Park, WY
Rocky Mountains National Park, CO
Beautiful images you’ve shared—and thank you! Two gorgeous images for this week’s Task, I love them both. I especially favor the first image with the closer view, capturing the warm light the portion facing the sun. Very nice.Well, this plays into a couple more images from Patagonia that I have not posted yet, so might as well do that here. Lots of mountain shots, but will post just 2 here:

Alan, wonderful variety of mountainous locations—love them all! (I can’t choose a favorite!!!) I love the expanse captured in the Columbia River Gorge—very nice. I also love the Bryce Canyon image with Powell Point—Bryce is nice seen with snow! Nice image. And the Superstition Mountains sunset, a wonderful capture. Great light. The Mt. Baker in North Cascades NP is a perfect composition! Very nice. I love the clouds in the Glacier NP—another great capture. And I’m glad you were able to “reveal” the Hidden Lake image for us to see! Very nice. Thanks for sharing each of these.A sampling of mountains around the American west.

Larry, beautiful “mountainous” imagery you’ve shared! The autumn Telluride scene is so beautiful—love this composition and colors captured. The very cloudy sky accentuates the blue and yellow palette below. Nice. The Dallas Divide’s capture of intense autumn warmth contrasts well with the adjacent blue mountains and sky. Gorgeous and a favorite! The Taylor Reservoir is another very nice composition—love the prominent clouds. Is there a shower occurring in the far side of the reservoir? The Trout Lake image is another good composition with the lake foreground. The prominent mountains certainly provides a sense of scale with the buildings along the shore. Another favorite. Very nice. The Guinelle Pass is another nice capture—love the prominent clouds. A nice perspective with this image reveals a great depth from foreground to far mountains beyond. Nice! Thanks for sharing each of these Larry!A
