Alan, lovely “land”scapes you’ve shared and thank you for the visual treats! I love the fast shutter speed results in your first two images! Wonderful results as well. My absolute favorite is your Cooks Chasm image—at first look, a large portion of the waves appear as a perfect stone sculpture—with falling foam. (I keep scrolling back to look again and again). However, I love the slow shutter speed results of the next two beautiful images too—Proxy Falls is my favorite but both are well composed—and gorgeous! And the distant view of the Columbia River Gorge is beautiful composition too. Thank you again Alan.

Jameel, excellent images for this week’s Task—thank you for sharing these “wet” landscapes! I love the captured color of your first image in Oregon—gorgeous! And the beautiful Grand Tetons composition—with the perfect reflection, is an easy favorite (and I’m sure you agree!). Very nice. I like the Mono Lake image—in winter, of which I seldom see images. Great capture. Of course the Ruby Beach image’s silhouetted rocks create a memorable image and one of my favorites! Perfect capture in color and composition. The Vermilion Lakes is another special capture. Very interesting with the blurred reflection of the distant mountains and clouds on the water. Beautiful colors too. The Boulder Creek image’s composition of the creek in the foreground is a well chosen viewpoint and memorable image. Thanks so much for sharing these Jameel!

Larry, beautiful “water”scapes you’ve shared today, and we appreciate them all. I love the winter pond Bear Creek scene. Nice to see a winter scene in the oncoming summer season! Very nice. The Clinton Reservoir is a well composed and beautiful image. Love the inclusion of the rock in the foreground. Also very nice and a favorite. The IR image is an impressive capture, nicely created. I love the Maroon Lake image, my favorite and a perfect composition. I especially love the Red Rock Lake panorama—with the perfect reflection and a favorite. A memorable image! Sprague Lake is another beautiful capture, a beautiful scene! Another perfect composition is the panorama of Taylor Park Reservoir (with a perfect reflection)—a very beautiful capture and a definite favorite! Again, thanks for sharing each of these Larry!

5) Ocean (Pacific Ocean, California)

I loved you chose one example of each “water” category! (Very funny and very good!) I loved your winter RIVER example—a very beautiful image, love the ice, reflection and perfect composition! Very nice. I also loved your LAKE composition! The warm sunlit mountains contrasts nicely with the blue lake, mountains, and sky. The warm “jigsaw pieces” of the mountains reflection add unique visual interest. Very nice! The SOUND example you shared is an outstanding composition with its centered sun between the mountains (and its reflection below). Very nice and a favorite! The SEA capture is another well chosen example—very nice. And the final category, OCEAN, is perhaps my favorite (not easy to choose) for its colorful composition of the waves lapping across the large beach stones receding to the cliffs beyond. Very, very nice. Thanks for your interpretation of this Task—you did good!

Craig, very beautiful landscapes you shared—and thank you for posting each of them! The first image “Trail’s End”, in the Canyonlands vicinity is perfectly composed. I love the gap between the large foreground rock and the horizon beyond! Perfect and a definite favorite. The Gunnison River winter scene definitely captures the season, love the mist rising from the water below. Very nice. “The Crystal Mill” is an interesting image, love all the detail and composition. “Morning Reflections” is my favorite image of your series—love the light and shadow, the composition, the blue and orange color contrasts—and the reflection, of course! “Colorado Riverbend” is another well framed image. I like the light and shadows across the red rocks, and blue sky and water bordering them. Nice. Love the images—and titles.
