Nighttime Bandon

A old shot I dug up from a very early morning session on the beaches at Bandon. I was curious how much recovery could be done with a shot like this one given our current generation processing tools and was surprised with the result. Shot with a Canon 5D MkII and the original noise levels were shockingly bad but DxO PureRAW 6 did an amazing job of cleaning it up.

The distant light on the sea stacks is from a horridly intrusive parking lot light from one of the hotels.

Thanks Jameel - I wasn't all that fond of the light when I was out on the beach shooting but it doesn't look as bad as I was thinking it would when I shot it.

Thanks Jim - back when I shot this I was so annoyed with the noise levels I was getting I stopped shooting them. I might have to go dig up some more I ignored like this one.
