More Red Kites

Some more images from my last visit. I get a little trigger happy and don't have pre-capture so when I think something interesting is going to happen I fire off a burst, often nothing happens. 835 images taken so I get tired finding the good ones. I am going back on Thursday to try and shoot moor exciting images. The kites often fight in mid- air and this produces exciting images, the fighting image from a previous visit in 2025 when the kites were minute specks in the distance. Ken

You did score some really outstanding shots of these magnificent birds. I really like the second image and the last with the great views of the markings on these specimens. The fight shot is amazing.

Shooting like this does produce quite the pile of images to sort through to find the good ones but results like these make it worthwhile. I do have precapture on my camera but the shooting technique is pretty much the same as yours and the only difference in the results is that I have more shots to cull to find the good ones.

These are all so awesome Ken! Great job here. The first one doesn't do a lot for me, but those last 3, try as I might, I can not pick a favorite, they are awesome.

I do have PreRelease Capture, but I have never enabled it, mainly because I do so little bird photography. And yeah, 835 images can be a lot to go through and can feel like it will never end. So I am glad you found these in that group.
