Friday's Focus - 08/10/2018 - Fall Colors

Today's Focus will be Fall Colors as a few people lately, (and I am not naming names) though one of the names could be Doug, have been posting some fall color photos and have been starting to get me inspired for that time of year when the weather turns crisp and leaves turn gold, orange and red.

I will post up a fall color shot or two of mine first from my favorite place for fall colors, Colorado.

Doug, man you have such a great eye. All of these are great, but it's your tight shot in #1 that really jumps out at me. Mainly because I am always shooting so wide that personally I miss those kind of fall color shots. I have been trying to get better at remembering to look down when I am out with fall colors. :)

There is an interesting story behind this image, Jim. I was on the mountain across from Mount Wilson near Telluride. I had to pee so I went off of the pathway to find a suitable place where I couldn’t be seen. As I was going through the forest I saw this puddle. The water had frozen over night and captured these leaves in a very artistic pattern. The raindrops on the leaves had frozen too but had melted by the time I got there. So now you know why I was looking down. I was negotiating my way through the forest.
