Hi all. So we finally had a little cooperation with the weather a couple nights ago. I captured the Eagle Nebula, AKA Pillars of Creation. This is a stack of 25x60sec shots with Darks and Bias added.

Still using my Nikon Z5, SW 100ed Apo and SW HEQ5 Pro. No auto guiding or CCD's. Just keeping it simple and fun.

Hello all. Good to be back out shooting. Our weather has been terrible around here. Got in my new Sky Watcher Evostar 100mm ED Pro and finally able to use it. I upgraded the focuser to a GSO Linear Bearing and shot the Moon. Processed it as a Mineral Moon.

Used my Meade 8 " on this last night. Only 20 x2 minute subs with my Nikon mirrorless.

Had a short go at the triplet last night. Only 21 x2 minute subs.

Back at it last night. These were a stack of 30 X 2 minute subs of the Cigar and Bodes Galaxies. No guide scope. Just on my HEQ5 Pro mount with Nikon Z5 and Sigma 60-600mm lens.

Horrible shooting conditions last night with 15MPH winds and occasional gusts higher. Before calling it a quick night I managed to capture this. This is actually my first ever Star trail image. I didn't have a good foreground subject as I wasn't planning on shooting this, but the weather...

I certainly wish I had my HEQ5 Pro equatorial mount last year. I could have tracked this comet and kept the shutter open forever to really bring out it's details. Oh well. Here it is above Rhode Island's iconic Newport Bridge.

I only had my birding gear with me, but took advantage of this beautiful Butterfly landing on a nearby flower.

I was photographing this beautiful Snowy in early morning when he decided to fly to another post about 30 feet away. I was so thankful to have him backlit. I left a couple of the sequence out as not to violate the rule of over five pictures on a single post.
