Dunnock, Prunella modularis and Robin, Erithacus rubecula

Thank you Alan, yes the Dunnock is a juvenile. Thanks Trent, it is a rather nice colour isn't it. Thank you Jim. Both male and female have this fine colouring.

Thank you Alan, they always brighten up the garden. Thank you Jim. Not all birds are as easy to sex as Bullfinches.

    Busy Bee

Good shot Larry. I like the colours and the sharpness of the subject. I feel it would look better if the bee, which is the main focus of the image, had more room in front of it and less behind it. Think it would have improved the composition.

    Finally a flower.

Very good Trent. I like the rich yellow of the bloom against the dark green of the background, really makes the flower pop out.

Dunnock, Prunella modularis and Robin, Erithacus rubecula

Dunnock, Prunella modularis and Robin, Erithacus rubecula. Fairly common in my garden. Normally Robins are very territorial but at the moment my resident robin tolerates the juveniles that are still around. Dunnock, Prunella modularis Robin, Erithacus rubecula
