WELCOME TO OUR CINQUE TERRE & TUSCANY PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP | Cinque Terre & Tuscany’s spectacular landscapes, ranging from picturesque villages and rough seascapes to serene rolling hills and medieval towns, are iconic and quintessentially Italian. I have been exploring Cinque Terre and Tuscany...
While I mostly photograph natural landscapes, I also enjoy a lot working on cityscapes. In this post, I'll share with you three images of iconic man-made buildings, shot in Iceland during two different trips there. All images have been shot with Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad XCD 21mm with...

Thank you for viewing.
Pls feel free to C&C.

I spent Christmas with family near Chicago, a city I had never had a chance to visit before. Most of the relatives left on Christmas, so I went with my wife and daughter to explore. Of course I had picked out a spot to shoot the skyline. The weather was amazingly nice for December in the Windy...
When I scouted this spot for shooting the bridge and Opera house, I knew I wanted to try a panorama as well. What I didn't plan for was all the dinner cruises hitting the harbor when the light was best.
Any thoughts are welcome.
Got this shot Wednesday evening (with Darcy Grizzle). I have a couple of people interested in getting prints. I've gone as far as I know how in LR for editing, but need to know what I could/should do to improve this image for production. Thanks!
It's that time of year, and for us here at FocalWorld, this will be our first Best of Threads. Having seen the incredible photos posted by everyone this year, I know we will get so many stunning photos!
So please add your photos to this thread, try to keep it to 3 to 5 max photos that you pick...
Need help with this image - I need to get rid of the light post, but what I've tried so far hasn't worked effectively. I suck at PS, so any step by step instructions would be fabulous!
"San Francisco Night Life"
On a recent trip to San Francisco I was intrigued by the night time view from our hotel window. When you have a big, fat, expensive camera with you it should be used as often as possible. Wouldn't you agree?
Ah, there may have been some wine involved. Just...
Here's a view of the Boston Skyline at nightfall. Happy to have some nice weather for the one night I was in town. Any comments are welcome. I was trying out my Canon M6 and a travel tripod for business trips.
"California and Powell Streets"
I went to California and Powell to try to capture this scene one morning, before heading over to Treasure Island for the city skyline. You can capture the sun rising behind the bridge span twice a year. I think I missed it by a week.

"Backdoor"
I discovered it is very easy to miss a scene like this while walking around the city. If I wasn't paying attention I would have walked right by it in about three seconds. This was shot from the city sidewalk.

All comments are welcome.
"Bay Bridge Sunset"
I had the privilege of watching a sunset and the city lights awaken from this location. A wonderful way to spend an evening!

Misty, drizzly day in Nov '08. Visiting the city with Martin McLeish and Carlo Didier, we walked a fair amount of the wall. Fascinating historical town, dominated by York Minster in the bg.
Shortly after acquiring my new camera, 5D Mark IV, last fall, I took it down to Main Street in North Little Rock for some low light tests of its DR.
These are all at least an hour before dawn, so all the illumination was from the street and ornamentation lights.
I was very pleased with the...
Well, actually foggy pre-dawns, but that doesn't quite rhyme!!
A few takes around Little Rock and North Little Rock, in foggy conditions, in very early morning hours over the years.
First three are of Little Rock from the North Little Side of the Arkansas River. The last is looking up...
Little Rock's train station. It was a couple hours after sundown, with a low cloud cover.
For a couple years now I've been trying to branch out, city/street scenes among my targets.
It was fairly windy, as the flag attests, and with the mercury vapor lights being prominent, I thought b&w was...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
