This is a timelapse I took a few weeks back. I took a couple of the grandkids to a local park in Colorado with me. While they played I set up my GoPro on a tripod as it was super windy and blowing all of the leaves off of the trees, and I liked watching the leaves then blowing along the ground...
Fall Curves is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. I considered every leaf with good color and no visible damage (including some with darker yellows), but they were all missing one key aesthetic ingredient. I wanted the entire image to be...
Injection is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Yonce Farm in Ridge Spring, SC. This is another canna lily leaves scene. In my mind’s eye, the large drop near the top of the needle-like protrusion immediately made me think of a liquid that had been forced from a...
Down The Drain is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Yonce Farm in Ridge Spring, SC. As I looked down the tube formed by the rolled canna lily leaves, in my mind’s eye, the spiraling effect immediately made me think of a drain. With the very shallow depth of field...
They seem to be esp. vibrant this year, but not sure if that's just because we are at home and seeing them every day right outside our dinning room window. It will be interesting to see how long the color show lasts.
I captured these this morning after more rain!!!! It's been so awesome here, I spotted these raindrops on some rose leaves as I was going out to my Jeep, so I grabbed my Sony A6400 and shot a few of these. I thought they looked pretty cool.
All comments are welcome,

I need to be a bit more creative with my titles here I think.
It rained yesterday so I went out briefly with the camera to capture some raindrops on the plants and flowers in the yard. This is one I liked. It's supposed to rain more in the next week so hopefully I can get out and...
Flame On is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. While it was created using a macro lens, it's not technically a macro image (but it is abstract).
Dew Veil is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. I was struck by how I could see the leaves underneath the web while at the same time the drops of dew created a mask over them. It was a curious effect and almost felt as if I was looking at...
So here in CO we got hit with our first blast of winter yesterday. My wife Claudia and i had managed to get up to the high country this past weekend though, for a last chance at some of the changing leaves up here in the northern part of the state. We stayed the night in Breckenridge and tooled...
I took this last month, but just now took the time to process it. The background bokeh was pretty harsh so I took the time to select the leaves, copy and paste them as a separate layer, then blur the background with a number of filters, then finally resize, and sharpen just the leaf layer.
I've already mentioned a number of threads about our disappointing trip back east last week looking for fall color. What made it doubly funny was the great fall the NW has been seeing. This is my favorite spot in our neighborhood half a block from my house.
As I spend more time here at the FW site, I find more fascinating forums filled with awesome images!
I have almost never capture any abstract images, and this one here is a bit of a cliche', but even so I was surprised at how it came out. Since we are still at least at the tail end of the leaf...
While up in Bishop last Sunday to meet up with a bunch of the FocalWorld members, I had the chance to shoot a bit. I rarely shoot tighter and close in shots, but for once I remembered.

I've posted few aspen trunks pictures here before, this is the last one I shot in that series and my personnel favorite. In this shot I was lucky to frame both aspen leaves and ground glow.
The Mountain Loop Highway is my local gateway to the Cascades. I can be up hiking on Mt. Pilchuck in 45 min., or further up like yesterday in a little over an hour of beautiful stress free driving. Fall color is as good as it gets around here. Perry Creek trail didn't disappoint, although I...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
